The Costa Press Club meets on average every two months at different venues on the western Costa del Sol, usually with a dinner and sometimes with guest speakers or special events. Guests and potential new members are welcome (contact any committee member). If you have an idea for a venue or guest speaker, please let us know. Details of the next scheduled meeting are outlined below.
Our next meeting will be the CPC Summer Party 2025.

The Party
As well as a delicious meal - reduced in price as ever for members - with a room with sea views, we also have one of our popular Open Mic sessions.
Format:
We will meet from 7.15pm at the beach level bar at El Faro Playa (known as Charcón Beach) for a drink (not included) and to catch the vibes by the waves and sand.
At 8pm, we move upstairs a few metres to El Faro restaurant for a traditional Malaga-beach-style menu with three courses and all drinks included in a private area.
See the menu options below for the meal – please note that we need to know your choice for main course and dessert beforehand.
Open Mic
These Open Mic sessions are always a great success. We are looking for around five to six members (or more) who either wish to say a few words (5 minutes maximum) about a current project they are involved in (or have finished) that would be of interest to members, or share a view on a subject that is close to their hearts or simply running through their mind.
Just let us know ahead of the evening that you wish to say something so we can reserve your slot.

How to get to parking at El Faro
The restaurant is at the familiar El Faro exit off the A-7 between La Cala and Fuengirola, close to the lighthouse. Parking is on the landside of the motorway and the restaurant/beach is reached easily by a foot tunnel.
If driving, to get to the parking place, from either direction on the motorway leave the A-7 and head inland(!) from the motorway for a few metres to the first T junction at start of Urb. El Faro. Turn left (signed for info as "Los Amigos Beach Club") and a few metres on the left after turning, in the Arroyo El Charcón dip, is the car park surrounded by a wooden fence.
Walk through the tunnel (beach/flatter shoes better as a little uneven/sandy) 25 metres to Charcon Beach bar where we will start the evening.
By train/taxi: the restaurant is about 5-10 minutes in a taxi from Fuengirola train station.
For lesser mobility visitors:
Passengers can be dropped off if coming from the La Cala direction only at the restaurant door as you leave the A-7 and there may be some parking free there by the road. If not, head over the motorway bridge to the parking as described above.
Between the restaurant (above) and the beach level bar (below) there is a ramp and a few shallow steps.
