The Costa Press Club meets on average every two months at different venues on the western Costa del Sol, usually with a dinner and sometimes with guest speakers or special events. Guests and potential new members are welcome (contact any committee member). If you have an idea for a venue or guest speaker, please let us know. How are we using AI now and what's in store next?

Location – Conference room and lobby at ProMálaga Economistas coworking/incubator space in Calle Beatas 34, central Malaga (near El Pimpi). Google Map link here.
Topic – most of us now use AI as an intrinsic part of our lives and this forum plans to find out how we’re doing it. We’ll also be asking what the AI future holds for those of us who work in the media and communications.
Format – there will be a panel of 5 people (mixture of members and guests) talking about their AI experiences, with plenty of opportunities for audience participation and input. The talks will be in English, with discussion in English/Spanish.
We’ll start with the forum and then move into the lobby for a light picoteo and drinks, and socializing.
Cost - €12 for members (including €5 discount for members who have paid their 2026 subscription), €22 for guests.
Note on the picoteo
This will consist of a variety of light snacks (canapes from La Canasta) and is not a full meal. Non-meat and some non-fish canapes will be available, but we can’t cater for further dietary requirements this time round. Wine, beer and soft drinks will be included.
Note on the location
ProMálaga Economistas is about 20 minutes’ walk from the Málaga Centro Cercanías train station and about 30 minutes from the main train and bus stations. Parking is available nearby in Parking Camas (10-minute walk) and Parking Alcazabilla (5 mins).
Note on guests
Guests are welcome, but as the space has a maximum capacity of 30, priority is for members. Guests will join a first-come-first-served wait list. On Monday 2 March, we’ll confirm whether they have a place.
